Officially announced FreeBSD 9.0

Capable of operating in Live-mode, available in versions Bootonly, DVD, CD and Memstick for platforms i386, amd64, powerpc, powerpc64, ia64 and sparc64.

Among the key enhancements:
The transition to the new modular installer BSDInstall, integration into the base system compiler Clang to replace GCC, a new implementation of the RAID (graid),integration of the replication system storage (HAST), ZFS updated to version 28, the activation Soft Updates for UFS, improved TCP-stack, support for five new algorithms for overload control in TCP, the new Universal USB-driver with support for USB 3.0, a new mechanism for isolating running applications Capsicum, implementation RCTL to set individual resource limits for the Jail.
